Front Cover Analysis(5)

This front cover from DJ mag is one of the most conventional magazines I have ever seen, it has everything you want and always seen on the front cover of a dance magazine from the iconic title of the magazine all the down to the small parts like the price, date and barcode. The front cover also has a lot of information on the front of it showing the consumer that this magazine has a lot to offer for the money you are paying for it, this makes the magazine look like it a bargain leading to more people buying it and improving the companies profit on the magazine. The big writing in contrasting colours is supposed to catch the eye of the consumers and make them want to buy the magazine because the information inside is to their liking and because they have a lot of writing on the front, it also shows that they have something for everyone that like DJ's or dance music to read. The editor has even included a big picture with effects on that makes it seem like drawing and this makes people wonder why he is like this, is it because he is so good its unrealistic? Who knows. The editor has even included all the small pieces of information needed like the issue number, price and website without tarnishing the picture or the rest of  the information on the page and this makes it seem less crowded and doesn't make it seem like a young kid designed the front cover.

I plan on taking the idea of the putting a lot of information on the front as it makes it seem like my magazine can attract all kinds of consumers of dance music. I also might use the idea of putting a website and issue number etc. to good use and make it small enough for people to read but not take up too much space that it leaves space for other more important parts of the magazine like articles.
